Who this is between
KidsKlab sells its software to nurseries, not to families. Your nursery is our customer and holds the account; you use KidsKlab through it. That means your nursery decides what goes in, how long it stays and who at the nursery can see it: and these terms sit alongside whatever agreement you already have with them.
What KidsKlab is, and what it is not
It is a place to write things down and to read what was written. It is not a substitute for your nursery's own duty of care, and it does not make any decision about your child.
- We do not decide who may collect a child: your nursery does, and records it here
- We do not judge an incident, a medication entry or an observation; we store what staff wrote
- An alert that does not arrive is never a substitute for the nursery's own checks
Your sign-in
Your sign-in is yours alone. It reaches your child's records, so treat it the way you would treat a key.
- Do not share it, and do not sign in on a device you would not leave unlocked
- Keep your email address and phone numbers current with the nursery: they are how we reach you
- Tell your nursery straight away if you think someone else has got in
- Accounts are for adults: parents, guardians and nursery staff aged 18 or over. Children never have accounts
Using it fairly
Most of this is common sense in a building full of other people's children:
- Do not try to reach records other than your own family's
- Photos of other people's children are not yours to save, repost or share
- Do not automate, scrape or load-test the service
- Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything you would not want a court to read
Photos and what you write
What you and the nursery put in stays yours. We hold it only to run the service for your nursery.
- We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train anything
- We do not read it except when we have to: a fault to fix, or a legal obligation
- Your nursery, not KidsKlab, decides what is kept and for how long
Reporting a photo or anything else
If something in KidsKlab should not be there - a photo of your child shared without consent, something unlawful, or something that uses your own work without permission - tell us. Anyone can report, with or without an account.
- In the app, use Report on the photo, or ask your nursery to take it down
- Or email hello@kidsklab.com with where it is, what it is, why it should come down, and how to reach you
- We acknowledge a report promptly, act on it without undue delay, and tell you what we decided and why
- Whoever posted it is told if it is removed, and can ask us to look again
When it is not working
We keep it running as well as we can, and we will not pretend that is the same as a promise it will never stop. Maintenance happens, and so do faults. Because of that, your nursery is expected to be able to care for your child with the app unavailable: its legal records are its own responsibility, not something it may outsource to a status page.
Paying
Nurseries pay KidsKlab for the software. Families never pay us anything to use the app.
- If your nursery collects fees through KidsKlab, the card is handled by Stripe and the money goes to the nursery
- We do not take a cut of your nursery's fees, and we never see your full card details
- Anything about what you owe is between you and your nursery
Offers
The app may show offers from companies for families with young children. They are chosen by KidsKlab, not your nursery, and they are how the app stays affordable for nurseries. You can switch them off, or choose offers suited to your child's age, in Privacy & your data. Anything you buy is between you and that company.
Ending it
You can ask for your account to be closed at any time, and your nursery can stop using KidsKlab at any time. Neither ends the nursery's duty to keep records about the children in its care, so a child's safeguarding history survives a parent leaving: with your name removed from it.
If something goes wrong
If we cause you loss, we will put right what we are responsible for. We are not responsible for what your nursery decides, for what staff write, or for a device you left unlocked. Nothing here takes away a right you have by law: and in particular nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Which law applies
KidsKlab is run from Cyprus by MJS Compatibles LTD, so Cyprus law applies and the Cypriot courts decide. If you are using KidsKlab as a parent rather than in the course of a business, that does not take away the protection of the consumer law where you live, or your right to bring a case there.
Changes
If this changes we will update this page and the date at the top of it. If a change matters to you, we will say so rather than leave you to spot it.
